BERLIN WALL SEGMENT
My passion, in combination with photography, is Berlin, the Berlin Wall, East Germany, Trabant, Truehand, Stasi, Prakticacamera's, ... My collection includes, among others:
An authentic Berlin Wall Element weighing 2.800 kg (or 6173 pounds) which is in my garden at Zwevezele, Ricksteenweg nr 6.
After long negotiations, I managed to bring two Berlin Wall elements to Flanders:
One is in my garden, the other one is in front of the main building of the Flanders Expo N.V. in Sint-Denijs-Westrem.
What do I have in common with the pope, the ex-presidents Bush, Reagan and Bill Gates? - Correct, they all have an element of the Berlin Wall.
A few days before delivery, CNN, the French News Agency and the Finnish television, ... made film recordings of these Berlin Wall elements following the discussions if a part of the wall needed to be preserved.

TRABANTFANAAT
Following the above, I'm also interested in Trabants, an old puffing East German car.
I am the proud owner of four Trabi's:
- A jeep version of the Berlin Wall
- A station wagon fully posted with banknotes and coins from 75 different countries
- A P50 with signatures of famous people such as Helmut Kohl, Mikhail Gorbasjov, Katarina Witt, Schabowski (When asked when the Berlin Wall would open he answered, 'Ab sofort' - meaning immediately)

DOMINOES
As you can read elsewhere, we have two original dominoes of 2.5m high and 1m wide. These dominoes fell symbolically in honor of the Fall of the Berlin Wall 20 years ago. On January 17th 2011 I got a hold of a third one and in July 2011 I acquired a fourth one. That same month the four stones arrived from Berlin in Zwevezele. Below is an overview of the four stones.

CAMERACOLLECTION
For years I have been collecting old cameras.
For right now, I have been mainly focusing on DDR cameras, and I am particularly proud to own two original Stasi-cameras. These were specially built for the Stasi with a film magazine of 17 meters which would be placed on or next to the Berlin Wall. Furthermore I have a Stasi-robot-camera and some 50 Prakticacameras.
ARCHIVE
In this context I have built a library of about 500 books, DVD's, CD's, gadgets...
Through Mr. Andre Leysen, I came into the possession of the 17 kg final scientific documentation of the Treuhand, the institution was responsible for the reorganization and privatization of the old East German companies. This documentation was intended for scientific research into the Treuhand.
MISCELLANEOUS
In addition, countless things like model cars from the DDR and Eastern Europe, posters from the former border, gadgets, t-shirts with inscriptions, etc.
